Kraken Takoyaki presents the Truckoyaki!

Apart from the classics such as ramen, tempura, and sushi, Filipinos are in a forever love affair with the Japanese treat takoyaki. Known for its round shape, the dish first popularized in Osaka’s street food scene is typically made of a wheat flour-based batter, mixed with minced or diced octopus, tempura scraps, pickled ginger, and green onion, and is cooked in a special molded pan. Now, if you’ve been wanting to eat authentic takoyaki and experience it just like the way it is being served in the streets of Osaka, then head on to this food truck.

Food brand Kraken Takoyaki launches its first-ever food truck, dubbed as Truckoyaki, inside Eastwood City, Quezon City. The red food truck complete with noren, “warm curtains” typically seen on Japanese food stalls, serves its famous takoyaki in different variants, from the original and tamago to the more contemporary ones with smoked bacon or cheese.

Much like other food businesses exploring new ways of operating, the Truckoyaki aims to provide a dining service that is safe, especially this time of the pandemic. It gives a chance for customers to dine-in in its open-air setup and offers take-out and pick-up services, and soon, a delivery option.

The Truckoyaki is located at Eastwood Central Plaza, across Super Bowl of China and Pho Hoa, and is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
