Nora Aunor, a wealthy, landed woman in Iriga

Sixty-four hectares of rice land. 22.6 hectares of coconut farm.

Technically, these pieces of prime real estate property located in her hometown, Iriga, belong to Nora Aunor.

They were purchases made by her parents in the 1970s at the height of her career. Nora gratefully acknowledges her parents, Eustacio and Antonia Villamayor, in a video post on her vlog, Nora Aunor Official, where she is shown touring the farms.

The superstar says she normally doesn’t want to show off material wealth. It’s not in her character, she adds.

As she explains it on the post titled, ‘’Ang Lupain ni Ate Guy sa Bicol,’’ ’Nais ko lang pong bigyang katahimikan ang mga taga-suporta ko na nag-alala sa mga balitang ako raw po ay naghihirap na.’’

Nora said she’s happy that through the farms, she’s able to help her kababayan in those communities.

She credited her father for donating a barrio road that connected the farms to town.

Here late Papay was also behind construction of an irrigation system that continues to be a blessing to farmers in the area.

Wonder if Nora has weathered the legal issues surrounding the property that have been the subject of litigation for years.
