WTFu (What the FU) by MR. FU: Kathniel fan joins showbiz

His admiration for the love team of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla inspired 15-year-old student, Ernest Beaver Magtalas, to try his luck in the entertainment industry. (ay baka pag wala si Daniel, ikaw muna!)

 “Ang pinaka nag-inspire po sa'kin ay ang love team na KathNiel kasi lagi ko po sila nakikita sa TV napapasaya at na iinspire nila ako kaya nangangarap po ako na maging tulad nila na nakapagpapasaya at nakaka-inspire lalo na po sa mga kabataang tulad ko,” Beaver says. (yung mga kabataan kaya may napupulot sakin?!)

It was three years ago when this young boy from Nueva Ecjia, started auditioning in several showbiz projects. He became a finalist in a popular reality show. (go lang baby go!)

“Nakiusap ako kila mommy na payagan akong mag audition sa Star Hunt PBB sa SM Cabanatuan. Sinamahan ako ni daddy at pumila po kami ng 5 a.m. hanggang sa makauwi kami ng hatinggabi dahil nalampasan ko po hanggang last level pero hindi po ako tuluyang nakapasok. Pero hindi po ako na-discourage dahil sa pagkatalo ko, kaya ng malaman ko na merong audition ulit sa Ilocos Norte talagang nakiusap po ako ng sobra sa mommy at daddy ko na payagan ako ulit sa pangalawang pagkakataon. Naging sulit naman po dahil finally naging Star Hunt finalist po ako. Pero siyempre hindi yun sure kung makakapasok ako sa PBB,” Beaver narrates. (Asan ba yang si Kuya?!)

After numerous auditions and workshops, ABS-CBN's Star Magic noticed his potential and talent. “Nervous po but at the same time very happy, excited and inspired. Kaya mas nag fo-focus po ako at nag-e-enjoy sa mga training at workshop ngayon sa dancing, acting, singing, modeling, hosting and playing piano.”( ayan na! pati piano kinarir!)

Beaver has done several independent films and online series. “Memorable sa'kin yung superhero role ko po sa Genius Teens series. Dahil ito yung first acting experience ko at dahil dito I got to meet new people and make new friends. Dahil din sa series na ito hindi lang ipinakikita ang powers ng mga superhero ipinakikita din po rito ang simpleng side ng buhay nila. Kaya na experience ko to portray the role of being both weak and powerful. (ay gusto ko maging Wonder Woman!)

He wants to be versatile in accepting roles on television and movies but he is not yet ready with daring projects like the popular trend among new actors, the BL series. (ay ipaubaya mo muna sakin yan!)

“As of now I can't really tell dahil sobrang bata ko pa po for that type of role pero in the future masasagot ko po ang tanong ng mas open-minded,“  Beaver explains. (lakas maka-networking ng open-minded ha!)

The College of Immaculate Conception Cabanatuan student admits that he doesn’t need to work for now because his family provides him with all the things he needs. But he really wants to pursue acting and his parents, Alvin and Filipina support that. (ay hello po madame and bro!) “Entertaining people has always been my dream and my passion. I want to entertain people and I want to make them happy. Siyempre po pag naman nagbigay si Lord ng blessing mas masarap po na makatulong din ako sa iba sa sarili kong paraan.” (basta pag need mo advice, puntahan mo ko, pero isama mo si daddy ha!)
