PCG collects over 95 sacks of trash in Sultan Kudarat shoreline clean-up drive
Over 95 sacks of garbage were collected by the personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in the shoreline of Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat, it said on Monday, Aug. 2.


Personnel of the PCG Substation Kalamansig have conducted the coastal clean-up drive along the shoreline of Sitio Baliwasan, Barangay Pag-asa, Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat on Saturday, July 31.
The PCG said the initiative aims to preserve the marine biodiversity and to raise environmental awareness among the residents in the area.
It added that the initiative was also an opportunity to strengthen cooperation with other stakeholders in the public and private sectors.

The clean-up drive was also made successful in cooperation with the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), Philippine National Police - Maritime Group (PNP – MG), 37th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army (PA), local government unit officials, and members of the Alpha Khapa Rho.
