MOVIEGOER: No worries, Sylvia

Friends of veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez are one in praying with her, ‘’Huwag kang mangamba.’’

As everyone knows, Sylvia’s son, Arjo Atayde, contracted Covid-19 virus while on locked-in shoot in Baguio City.

Sylvia knows what her son is going through. She and her husband Art had been through Covid-19 themselves last year, enough reason for them to act quickly on behalf of their son.

Here’s hoping Arjo’s condition continues to improve following his treatment in hospital. Meanwhile, where there’s sadness, there’s joy.

Sylvia’s on-going series, ABS-CBN’s “Huwag Kang Mangamba,” has been nominated at the ContentAsia Awards 2021, competing against four other shows in the region for Best Drama Series/Telefilm.

The ContentAsia Awards is organized by ContentAsia, a premier information resource that covers the entertainment media industry across the Asia-Pacific region. “Huwag Kang Mangamba” follows two sisters, Mira (Andrea Brillantes) and Joy (Francine Diaz), who fight all odds to fulfill their mission for Bro and to have their local church rebuilt.

By showing their story, the series aims to show how God’s miraculous love is found in the simplest of things and to remind people they are never alone.

“Huwag Kang Mangamba” airs weeknights on the Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, etc.
