This café serves special silogs in tampipi bowls

What's better than having a silog for breakfast? Having it in an eco-friendly bowl, of course. As many Filipinos are preferring cleaner and greener eating habits, food entrepreneurs and restaurant owners are also adapting to the sustainable movement by exploring eco-conscious practices and materials for their operations.

One of the many that champions the initiative is The BrickOven Cafe. Located in Pila, Laguna, the café first made it to the headlines with its pizza served in tampipi boxes. Its owners, siblings architect Denise Jocel and chef Dhon Jhon Porca, have been sourcing their sustainable packaging made of woven dried pandan leaves from artisans in the province.

TampiRice meals

The café's latest offering, the TampiRice meals, is a hit among their patrons. Diner's favorites include beefsilog, bagnetsilog, and wingsilog. According to it Facebook page, an order costs P210 with an additional P45 for the tampipi, which are reusable

The BrickOven Café

The BrickOven Café's TampiRice meals are available for delivery and in its drive-thru site located at Bulilan Highway, Pila. If you're driving down south, this neat kubo café is one of Laguna's best food pit stops as netizens say.
