Janine Teñoso has joined the growing list of Pinoy celebrities and musicians who are getting featured on billboards in New York.

Just this week, the singer was among those featured on Spotify’s campaign for their EQUAL playlist on Times Square in New York.

EQUAL is a playlist that gives the spotlight on women and female artists from around the world.

Janine Teñoso is on said billboard on the strength of her recently released EP titled “Kwento Sa Silid.”

In particular, Janine’s collab-track with Arthur Nery titled “Pelikula” is doing well on the music platform.

But as the playlist is female-centric, Janine’s solo singles were the ones featured on said playlist.

On the EQUAL Global playlist, Janine’s song “Paano” is at number two, just behind a Billie Eilish song. Meanwhile, on the Philippine version of EQUAL, Janine’s song “Ghosts In The Room” is sitting at number one. She is also on the cover of said playlist.

Upon making the cover of the playlist, Janine wrote on her Instagram, “Behind these songs were years of tears, compromise, and courage. To me, ‘Kwento Sa Silid’ is more than just about my heartbreak.”

She added, “It takes a lot of patience and hard work to get people to see your creative vision. I can’t even count the number of times I had to hear ‘no’ before releasing this EP. But I couldn’t find it in me to share the kind of music that I didn’t fully believe in.”

Viva Records recently released the new music video for Janine Tenoso and Arthur Nery track “Pelikula.”
