Brie Larson, Samuel Jackson tease start-of-shooting for 'The Marvels'

“Captain Marvel” stars take to their socials to announce the start shooting of the sequel.
Apparently, production for “The Marvels” has started. Samuel L. Jackson posted on his Instagram the all too familiar facial hair stylings of one Nick Fury, albeit the fake ones he dons when he takes on the role of S.H.I.E.L.D. director.
Jackson had not been officially announced to return to his role as Nick Fury for “The Marvels” but as his Instagram post proves, Nick Fury is teaming up again with Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel.
Meanwhile Brie Larson is also preparing for her role as former pilot Carol Danvers a.k.a. Captain Marvel. She posted a video of her working out in her garage 2 weeks ago, no doubt aiming to get buffed and fit for when she dons her costume anew.
In a Sirius XM interview, Larson said “It's a really unique experience. I'm a huge fan of Disneyland, so to me it feels like I get to go to my own private Disneyland every single day. Because they're building all of these insane worlds that no one else knows about, no one else gets to see. You'll see it when the movie comes out but for now it's just mine. I'm in sets that are bigger than you can imagine right now. It's really special.”
Nia DaCosta will direct and WandaVision writer Megan McDonnell is writing the script. Zawe Ashton is slated to play the main villain. 18-year old Iman Vellani (as Ms. Marvel), Teyonnah Parris as the adult version of Monica Rambeau (who eventually becomes the second Captain Marvel in the comics), and Itaewon Class’ Park Seo Jun beefs up the cast.
Marvel plans to release “The Marvels” in November 2022.
