Great eats await Olympic champ Hidiliyn Diaz

Gifts and surprises continue to come to the first Filipino Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz. After receiving cash incentives from the government, properties from private firms, and a year of free milk tea, the latest addition to the champ's prize is a lifetime free dining at the Viking Luxury Buffet.

The famous buffet service congratulates Hidilyn for bringing honor to the country through a post released on July 28, 2021. It also announced its gift for the Filipino weightlifter by saying, "sagot na namin ang cheat day mo... anytime, lifetime! (Your cheat day is on us... anytime, lifetime!)"

One of the largest food spots in the Philippines, Vikings Luxury Buffet was first established in 2011 at SM Mall of Asia. Its mission is to bring gourmet-style dishes to Filipino diners made by world-class chefs. Since its launch, the buffet led by Pacific Apex Food Ventures Inc. has expanded and built more branches across the metro.

On a sweeter note, Conti's Bakeshop & Restaurants also pledged to send the athlete some of its confectionery offerings. While local milk tea brand Serenitea is throwing a partea not only for Hidilyn, but also for other Filipino athletes that will be bringing home medals from the Tokyo Olympics. The brand will be giving them a year's worth of free milk tea.
