Inoue calls out Casimero camp; Gibbons tells Japanese champ to shut up

WBC bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire came to defend Japanese superstar Naoya Inoue against the camp of John Riel Casimero in their ongoing rift on social media.

In a tweet Thursday, July 1, Donaire expressed his continuous frustration over the behavior of Manny Pacquiao Promotions president Sean Gibbons, providing screenshots of the latter's response to Inoue's earlier tweets.

After the online exchange between the two camps of the Filipino champions, including the issue on the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) testing, Inoue took to social media his own take on the dispute.

"Casimero will not hit the big mouth anymore. There is no qualification for someone who avoids doping tests. Thank you," Inoue, the unified super WBA and IBF champion, wrote in Japanese.

The outspoken Gibbons replied by calling out Inoue: You stupid Turtle! Scared Turtle!

In another tweet, the MP Promotions chief also called the Japanese "Monster" as a "Turtle idiot," asking him if he could read in English.

He proceeded by stating that Casimero is already enrolled in VADA and to "shut up and keep running like Donaire."

Those comments did not sit well with the WBC bantamweight champion and pointed out that "this is exactly what needs to be taken out of boxing."

It would be recalled that the trash-talking Casimero himself was the one who coined and changed Inoue's moniker from "Monster" to "Turtle" as someone who "always hides under his shell" when he was trying to challenge the Japanese boxer.

Earlier, the 38-year-old Donaire, who holds a 41-6 record on top of 27 knockouts, claimed that the fight with Casimero (30-4, 21 KOs) has been called off over the VADA testing issues as well as the "disrespect" they have been getting from the other camp.
