New mom Janella Salvador share weight-loss progress

If you think pregnancy is tough, raising a child and learning to love your "new" body is even harder. Though we try as much to lose the excess weight, getting back in shape has never been easy.

Most moms, even those who aren't, have always been apprehensive to share their weight-loss journey for fear of body shaming. Even Janella Salvador goes through this. In her latest post, she admits to thinking twice if she should share a photo of her in a one-piece bathing suit.

"I was thinking if I should post this or not because i’m not yet where I want to be in terms of my postpartum weight-loss goals and I still have 13 pounds to go. But why not? I’m proud of my progress.
Let’s go, momma."

A few weeks back, she also posted that it's important to take care of ourselves while taking care of the family, "I always have to remind myself to be proud of the progress I make everyday, no matter how little. I am proud of myself for getting up with a happy heart everyday despite the lack of sleep, making time to strengthen my body and making healthier food choices while taking care of a clingy baby. My body may have changed, but I have never felt stronger inside and out."
