Laguna bettor is newest multi-millionaire after winning P54.4-M Megalotto 6/45 jackpot

The month of June ended with a bang for a lone bettor from Laguna after bagging the P54.4-million Megalotto 6/45 jackpot prize.

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Thursday, July 1, announced that a winning ticket bought in Calamba City in Laguna won the multi-million jackpot prize in a draw on Wednesday night, June 30.

PCSO said that the lone bettor correctly guessed the winning combination for the Megalotto 6/45 which was 14 - 25- 09 - 15 - 06 - 16.

Based on the summary of the draws, the bearer of the winning ticket won a total jackpot prize of P54, 420, 510. A total of 63 second prize winners will also receive P32,000 each.

The Megalotto 6/45 draw is held at 9 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

PCSO noted that there were no winners for the P29.7-million jackpot prize of Grandlotto 6/55 with the winning combination of 38 - 15 - 18 - 16 - 42 - 33. Four second prize winners will receive P100,000 each.

Winners need to go to the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City to claim their prizes. Aside from the winning ticket, they need to present two identification cards when claiming.

PCSO reminded that prizes that are above P10,000 will be subjected to 20 percent tax pursuant to the TRAIN Law. Moreover, the agency said that prizes that were not claimed within one year from date of draw will also be considered as “forfeited” based on the Republic Act No. 1169.

In June, advisories sent by PCSO showed that there were four major lotto winners.

During a draw on June 22, solo winner from Calbayog City, Samar won the P49.5-million jackpot prize of Ultra Lotto 6/58 after guessing correctly the winning combination 05 - 38 - 09 - 20 - 24 - 17.

A bettor from San Jose City, Nueva Ecija also won the P15.4-M jackpot prize of Lotto 6/42 during a draw on June 19 with a winning combination 23 - 02 - 31 - 20 - 06 - 28.

On June 8, a bettor from Bangued in Baguio City won the P29.7-M Grand Lotto 6/55 jackpot with the winning combination: 13 - 19 - 43- 33 - 41 - 46.

A solo winner from San Mateo, Rizal also bagged the P10-M jackpot prize of Lotto 6/42 during a draw on June 5 with the winning combination 21 - 05 - 09 - 03 - 01 - 12.
