Viva Entertainment just revealed the poster of the special musical extravaganza.
Said poster reveal, cross-posted across Viva Live, Viva Records, Viva Artist Agency, and Viva Max social media accounts detail the upcoming event titled “Rico Blanco Songbook: Musical Stories by Rico Blanco.”

The special features top musical acts such as December Avenue, Ebe Dancel, Callalily, Spongecola & Gibbs Sisters, Earl Generao and Mayonnaise.
Artists from Viva Records' roster including This Band, Raphiel Shannon, John Roa and Janine Tenoso are also to appear in the event.

“Rico Blanco Songbook: Musical Stories by Rico Blanco” is described as a musical documentary featuring interviews and performances of the artists involved in the project.

Blanco’s peers during his time in Rivermaya and during his solo career, such as Ebe Dancel, Mayonnaise’s Monty Macalino, Yael Yuzon of Spongecola and Kean Cipriano of Callalily will share their thoughts and perspective on Blanco’s songwriting and as an artist.
Meanwhile, newer acts such as December Avenue, This Band, John Roa, Raphiel Shannon and Earl Generao, will talk of the singer-songwriter's impact on their craft.
Treb Monteras directs the special.
Released late last year, the “Rico Blanco Songbook” is a ten-track album compilation that reimagines the hits of the esteemed Pinoy rock and pop singer-songwriter as recorded by the aforementioned artists.
This includes the electro-pop take on “Your Universe” by Geronimo, the sparkling balladry of “Wag Mong Aminin” as interpreted by Dancel, This Band’s invigorated pop rock approach on “Liwanag Sa Dilim” and Tenoso’s beautiful rendering of “A Love To Share,” to name a few.
“Rico Blanco Songbook: Musical Stories by Rico Blanco” is scheduled to premiere on August 7, on KtX, IwantTFC, IPTV and SkyPPV and the VivaMax streaming app. Tickets will be available starting June 30.
