Sharon Cuneta reacts to rumors she was hit by husband, having an affair with younger man

Megastar Sharon Cuneta has put an end to rumors that she was physically abused by her husband, Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan.

Cuneta also slammed rumors that she left for the US because her husbandÂ allegedly found out she was having an affair with a younger man.

"Ang OA naman ng storya! Bago pa ako madapuan ng kamay ng kahit sinong lalaki, e siguradong may nangyari na sa kanya," Cuneta told entertainment broadcaster Cristy Fermin who wrote about their conversation in Abante newspaper. (That's outrageous! Before any guy could hit me, for sure, I would have hit him first).

"At ang bilin ng tatay ko sa akin, minsan lang ako saktan ng lalaki, iwan ko na agad. Mula kay Gabby, awa naman ng Diyos, wala akong nakilalangÂ nanakit sa akin. (My father advised me, If a guy would hit me, I must leave him. From Gabby, no guy has every hit me).

"At nasaan ba ang bagets na yun? Saan naman nangaling ang istoryang yun? Naku, kung si Ji Chang Wook at Cha Eun Woo, kahit mga bata pa sila, e baka makalimot ako sa mga magagadang itinuro sa akin ng mga magulang ko!" (Where is the young guy they are talking about? Where did that story come from? If they are Ji Chang Wook and Cha Eun Woo, even if they are young, I could have fallen for them and forget about the advice of my parents)," said the laughing Cuneta.

Cuneta is currently in the US for a much-needed vacation.
