
The Grammys lineup for 2021 was revealed by the Recording Academy.
The complete performance lineup for the annual music awards show was revealed last March 7, 2021. The artists names included in the list are Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, BTS, Dua Lipa, Post Malone, Doja Cat, Cardi B, Brandi Carlile, Brittany Howard, Miranda Lambert, Chris Martin, Black Pumas, DaBaby, Mickey Guyton, Bad Bunny, Megan Thee Stallion, Haim, Maren Morris, Roddy Ricch, Harry Styles and John Mayer have all been confirmed according to a Rolling Stone report.
“Artists will be coming together, while still safely apart, to play music for each other as a community and celebrate the music that unites us all,” said the Recording Academy in a released statement.
As per the standards during this pandemic, some of the performances will be pre-recorded for safety purposes. But it will be mixed with live performances as well, as mentioned by show executive producer Ben Winston to Rolling Stone.
This year’s Grammys will not be in its usual venue at the Staples Center, but producers have said that they have built “an entire world” with “multiple stages with Covid 19 in mind” to house the storied music awards show during the pandemic times.
Besides the usual music honors, this year’s Grammys is also set to give a nod to independent music venues hit hard by the pandemic, and “acknowledging social justice during the telecast.”
The 2021 Grammys will be hosted by comedian and Daily Show’s Trevor Noah. The show is scheduled Sunday, March 14 and will air on (American network) CBS but can be streamed live via Paramount+. It will also be available on said platform as on-demand content after its live airing.
