Marvel Avengers saga continues with 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier'

Fans of the beloved Marvel Cinematic Universe will get their fresh installments on the popular saga via the upcoming miniseries “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.”
A first look at the miniseries was previewed during Superbowl Sunday with a trailer that featured main characters The Falcon played by Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson (Falcon) and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier).
Set to air on Disney+, the series picks up where “Avengers Endgame” left off. Mainly after the events where Steve Rogers relinquished his role as Captain America and Falcon taking on the mantle. On one scene in the trailer, Falcon tries out Cap’s signature shield throw move.
But the main focus lies on the interaction between Falcon and the Winter Soldier. On past Avengers and Captain America movies, Falcon has expressed his dislike of Bucky Barnes’ then unstable alter-ego, the Winter Soldier. That dynamic has apparently become an overt underpinning on the storyline of the upcoming series that will obviously provide tension and comedic moments for the story.
The preview last Superbowl Sunday also revealed the main antagonist which suggest Major Zemo, played by Daniel Brühl, finally donning the character of popular Marvel villain Baron Zemo. Emily Van Camp as former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Sharon Carter also returns and comic afficionados would be interested to note that the John Walker character will be introduced in the series. Marvel universe fans of course would know that John Walker is the Captain America-like character U.S. Agent (aka Super Patriot). The character will be played by actor and former hockey player Wyatt Russell. The series also includes actors Noah Mills and Carl Lumbly in the cast.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier comes on the heels of another Marvel spin-off, the popular WandaVision series that spotlighted Avengers Scarlett Witch (Wanda Maximoff) played by Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany as the android Vision. Also incoming are the stand alone series "Loki" (Tom Hiddleston), the series "What If..." "Ms. Marvel," "Moon Knight," and "Hawkeye" among others.
