Cooking becomes a special affair with this fashion designer and bakery collaboration

Gabbie Sarenas x The Daily Knead line will surely delight the home cooks within us

Spending time in the kitchen has been a therapy for many during the pandemic. It allowed many to be productive while distracting themselves from the chaos outside. It reconnected them to their roots by whipping up recipes passed on from generations, and cooking something new for everyone to enjoy. That is what fashion designer Gabbie Sarenas and bakeshop The Daily Knead want to celebrate with their collaboration line–the joyful moments created by food and the people who prepared them.

The Gabbie Sarenas x The Daily Knead collaboration presents a five-piece collection specially crafted according to the needs of those who work and play in the kitchen. Ramie linen is turned into aprons that pay homage to Gabbie and bakeshop founders and sisters Francesca Gacrama-Herring and Francine Gacrama’s kitchen heroes. The Socorro Kitchen Apron honors Francesca and Francine's grandmother, while the Enas Hosting Apron is named after Gabbie Sarenas’ great-grandmother, both are beautifully adorned by the designer’s embroidery on the neckline.

“Created from breathable cotton twill, its cross-back detail enables you to work longer hours in the kitchen while freeing your back and neck from strain–the better to allow you to enjoy the festivities,” The Daily Knead said. “An added touch for your personal use and satisfaction is the deep pocket detail that can hold all your essentials with utmost comfort, sealed with an ‘X.’”

Completing the line are Dorami Belt Bag, Althea Bandana, and a Binibini Pastry Box, filled with six of Gabbie’s favorite The Daily Knead treats such as sourdough, pinwheel danish, pain au chocolat, and croissant.

“The Gabbie Sarenas x The Daily Knead collaboration celebrates the best of Filipino artisanal excellence with a limited-edition line that honors the labor of love that goes into every delightful spread and heartwarming gathering for the holidays and beyond,” they said in a statement.
