That Carolina Herrera piece is a classic!

December has been a mega style fest for fans of Filipino beauty pageants with Marian Rivera judging at Miss Universe 2021 and “Sex and the City” with the comeback of ‘90s icon Carrie Bradshaw. We saw a demonstration of local fashion on an international stage with the Filipino actress wearing designs from Francis Libiran, Jo Rubio, Steph Tan, Ulysses Caragayan, among others. While Carrie, through actress Sarah Jessica Parker, gave joy with her quirky pairings and unconventional looks. And during the holidays, the style icons come full circle by donning the same pink look.

Through an Instagram post, Marian and her family greeted everyone on Christmas Day by sharing their holiday family portrait. In the picture, the actress is wearing a pink ensemble similar to what Carrie donned on the third episode of “And Just Like That” series, the new chapter of “Sex and the City.”

That pink taffeta shirt dress is courtesy of New York-based maison, Carolina Herrera. On the show, Carrie wears it with a Streets Ahead USA’s Roger belt (straight from the character’s archive), a pair of BB leather pumps from Manolo Blahnik, and a vintage Judith Leiber green croc clutch. In Marian’s case, she styled it with a pair of Amina Muaddi heels and elegant gold and mother of pearl necklace.

Pink has been their power color. And in this Carolina Herrera number, they both look so chic!
