DSWD logs 44,578 evacuees in 4 regions hit by 'Odette'
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said Friday, Dec. 17, that over 44, 5000 individuals or more 12, 200 families are currently staying in evacuation centers in four regions hit by Typhoon “Odette” (international name: "Rai").

The DSWD’s Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC) reported that as 6 a.m., Dec. 17, 44,578 individuals or 12,203 families are taking temporary shelter in evacuation centers.
The affected regions were Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Davao, and Caraga.
The DROMIC report said 2,780 individuals or 744 families opted to stay with their relatives and friends.
Odette has so far affected 18,246 families or 67,647 individuals from 170 affected barangays
