Pocofino brings Italian brews to the Philippines
Enjoying a cup of coffee is the very definition of cheap therapy. It awakens your senses in the morning, offers a way to build great conversations in the afternoon, and, for some, is a relaxing post-dinner habit. Coffee drinking is more than just an energy boost. It is an experience, and among the people that know it are the Italians.
With their “la dolce vita” mindset, the Italians’ coffee lifestyle is generally a cup with bittersweet flavor and a brown foam or crema on top. While many Filipinos would love to have this experience in the picturesque country, one doesn’t need to go and fly this time just to savor coffee the Italian way.
Pocofino is bringing the Italian coffee experience to Filipino caffeine lovers with its neat “chiosco” (kiosk) located at Greenhills Promenade. At the alfresco coffee bar, Filipino can discover the rich and bold taste of authentic Italian brews through its carried labels: the 100-year old heritage coffee brand Danesi, Brescia’s Lucaffe, Naple’s Caffe Borbone, and Gima Caffe from Rome.
Sustainability is also at its core as the brand. This is best reflected by its Easy Serve Espresso (ESE) pod system, which uses biodegradable pods. The coffee pods are packaged using paper, making them eco-friendly and compost-ready.
The chiosco is open for the whole month of December. But if you cannot make it to their stores, “coffee-cionados” still can experiment and enjoy getting to know Italy in a cup at home or at the workplace with its Moka Pot and Didi and La Piccola machines, available at www.pocofino.com.
