Those who are interested in space might want to check out the virtual e-book launch of the lectures and speeches delivered during the International Space Cooperation and Philippines webinar.

The Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA), in partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs - Office of Treaties and Legal Affairs (DFA - OTLA), is scheduled to hold the virtual e-book launch on Thursday, Dec. 9.

In an official statement, PhilSA said that the e-book is the "result of the knowledge-exchange and sharing" from the webinar entitled “International Space Cooperation and the Philippines.”

The said webinar was organized by PhilSA and DFA in October 2020 where the Philippine space agenda, space science diplomacy, the Philippine treaty-making process, and international cooperation were discussed.

Entitled “The Compendium of Lectures and Speeches Delivered during the International Space Cooperation and Philippines Webinar,” PhilSA explained that the e-book aims to further promote interest in space.

Through the virtual launch, PhilSA hopes to disseminate and “make the ebook available” for policymakers, students, space enthusiasts, and “everyone else” who would like to read it.

The agency said that the virtual launch will also feature a message from PhilSA Director General Dr. Joel Joseph Marciano Jr., and presentation on the recent successes of the Philippines in the field of Space Science Technology Applications from PhilSA Deputy Director General Dr. Gay Jane P. Perez.

While the registration for the event ends on Dec. 8, PhilSA said that the event will also be livestreamed on its official Facebook Page. (Charie Mae F. Abarca)
