Ring in 'effervescence'

The storied provenance of Moët & Chandon is truly something to marvel at. Established in 1743 by Claude Moët in Épernay, France, Moët & Chandon is one of the world's largest champagne producers, and owns 1,190 hectares of vineyards, producing approximately 28,000,000 bottles of champagne a year. It’s a co-owner of the luxury goods company LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE). And it doesn't do any harm to have your brand immortalized since 1974, by Freddie Mercury crooning it in the very first line of Queen’s Killer Queen!

Always ready to do things differently, and in a grand “bubbly” manner; the famous French champagne house now introduces its first-ever pop-up store in the Philippines. You’ll find it at Greenbelt 3, Makati, and the highlights of the pop-up are the IG-worthy radiant display of champagne bottles in a Christmas setting, and the bottle personalization station.

Formally opened just last week by the French ambassador to the Philippines Michèle Boccoz and Moët Hennessy Philippines’ commercial director Michael Ellingworth, this pop-up is part of a series of global events that celebrate the effervescence of Moët’s most famous product. From Manila to Sydney, Johannesburg, London, Milan, Amsterdam, Madrid, Moscow, Paris, New York, and Mexico City, there’s a vast program of musical performances and/or immersive experiences that will remind us that Moët is all about togetherness during momentous and cheerful celebrations.

Here in Manila, we can look forward to the Moët Golden Glam Nights New Year’s Eve festivities at Sofitel Manila, at Raffles Makati, and at the Manila Peninsula. There’ll be wondrous window displays at Rustan’s Makati, Shangri-La Mall, and at S&R and Landers.

There are also exclusive partnerships with Chef Margarita Fores at her Lusso, and with Chef Colin Mackay at his Sala. These started last Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, via special holiday menus that can be paired with Moët & Chandon.

I did mention the personalization station at the pop-up, and as it’s been officially open to the public since last Saturday, don’t miss this opportunity to create very special Christmas gifts for the most important persons in your life, imagine their delight when the magnum bottle of Moët you give them as a gift will carry their own name.
