NBI hopes to construct new building in 5 years on Taft Avenue in Manila

The National Bureau Investigation (NBI) has expressed hopes it would be able to construct within five years its new building on Taft Avenue in Manila.
NBI Deputy Director Ferdinand M. Lavin said the agency has relocated to Quezon City after the Manila City Engineering Office and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) declared that its old building was no longer safe.
The NBI offices have relocated to the V-Tech Tower at the corner of Araneta Avenue and Ma. Clara Street in Quezon City.
“The landmark building of the NBI is no longer fit for occupancy,” he lamented.
“For the safety of not only the employees of NBI, but especially its clients, we have to temporarily leave that building,” he said.
“In maybe five years we will go back to Taft Avenue with a new edifice or a new building,” he said, as he expressed hope that “Congress will favor us with the funding.”
