Another 'Marcos' seeking presidency, vows to make positive changes in PH

Another “Marcos” is seeking the highest position in the land.
Maria Aurora Marcos, an independent candidate, vowed to make positive changes in the Philippines as she would “provide food, shelter, and clothing for the masses” when she filed her certificate of candidacy for president on Tuesday, Oct. 5.
She also vowed to improve the country’s health system by “providing hospitals in places as needed” as she believes that a healthy people equates to a healthy nation.
Marcos also said that she would create job opportunities for the people “making them again effective, efficient, (and) productive.”
“(I will) Improve the living standard of every Filipino people by increasing the salary of the working class--it may be uniformed or non-uniformed personnel,” she said.
She also vowed to make the country’s train and airport facilities to be under “ "world class categories."
Marcos said she would also put an end to corruption, criminality, illegal drugs, and illegal gambling.
“Ninanais natin wakasan ang corruption na siyang pinaka ugat ng pagbagsak ng ating ekonomiya (We want to end corruption which is the root cause of our collapsing economy),” she said.
“Hinihiling ko na samahan niyo ako sa adboksyang ito upang maibalik natin ang isang masagana at maunlad na bansang Pilipinas (I ask you to join me in this advocacy so that we can restore a prosperous Philippines),” she added.
