A once-formidable ally of President Rodrigo Duterte is currently creating a lot of buzz due to his latest social media post that involves presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. and incumbent Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio Friday, October 22.
Peter Tiu Laviña, a former campaign spokesman of President Duterte who was eventually axed as National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Chief in 2017, posted a photo of Duterte-Carpio supposedly just before she flew to Cebu “on board PR2366” Friday.
Laviña’s post once again fired up followers of both Duterte-Carpio and Marcos as the former senator and namesake of the late former president is also in Cebu where he met Governor Gwen Garcia Friday afternoon and inaugurated his campaign headquarters. BBM a hit in Cebu, meets Gov. Gwen
“It’s alright that not many noticed my post early yesterday about CeeeBooom and how I wish I would be there this weekend. The reason why is now unfolding - Mayor Sara just took off on board PR2366 bound for Cebu; BBM is in Cebu and also information Speaker Lord Velasco is on his way to Cebu,” was what Laviña posted via his Facebook account.
Supporters of Marcos as well as Duterte-Carpio have been very vocal, at least on social media, about their dream of seeing both political prodigies working together and form a tandem for the next year’s presidential elections.
While Duterte-Carpio filed her COC to seek a third term as Davao City mayor, the possibility of her gunning for a national post remains a possibility via substitution which will lapse on November 15.
With both Marcos and Duterte-Carpio now in Cebu, speculations would instantly swirl that the two will finally discuss or even announce a potential 2022 tandem.
