Informal workers in Caloocan City receive bikes, cellphone, load allowance

Around 100 informal workers in Caloocan City received bikes, cellphones, and P5,000 load allowance during the Bikecination Project awarding ceremony on Monday, Oct. 18.

The awarding ceremony was led by Mayor Oca Malapitan and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Silvestre Bello.

The program was implemented by DOLE in partnership with Caloocan City Public Employment Service Office (PESO).

Beneficiaries of the DOLE program are individuals who lost their jobs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Taos-pusong pasasalamat sa DOLE at PESO-Caloocan para sa patuloy na pangunguna sa pagbibigay natin ng tulong sa ating mga kababayang nais maghanapbuhay (Sincere thanks to DOLE and PESO-Caloocan for their continued leadership in providing assistance to our compatriots who want to earn a living)," Mayor Malapitan said.
