'Charlie's Angels' star Tanya Roberts still alive, says spokesman

Following reports that Bond Girl and Charlie's Angels star Tanya Roberts was dead, a representative to the actress confirmed that the Hollywood star is still alive although she remains in critical condition.

This was confirmed by Mike Pingel, representative of the actress, to Newsweek on Jan. 4. He explained to Newsweek how the news about Roberts death spread.

Pingel said that the news spread after he talked to her distraught partner Lance O'Brien, Sunday afternoon.

"O'Brien had visited his ailing wife in the hospital Sunday around 3 p.m. local time believing that she was close to death. O'Brien then mistakenly told Pingel that his wife had passed. However, Pingel told Newsweek that she is still alive," Newsweek reported.

"Online, people are saying this was a hoax and just for promotional stuff, and it is not. She's a very sick lady," Pingel told Newsweek.
