Tanya Roberts, Bond Girl and star of 'Charlie's Angels, dies at 65

Tanya Roberts, a Bond Girl and one of the members of the hit TV series Charlie's Angels, has passed away. She was 65.

Mike Pingel, Roberts' publicist and long-time friend, told USA TODAY that the actress died Sunday, Jan. 3, after a sudden hospitalization on Dec. 24 that came on after walking her dogs.

Pingel did not disclose the cause of death but he said that Roberts did not die from Covid-19. Roberts, he added. was extremely cautious during the pandemic.

Roberts joined "Charlies Angels" as a replacement for Shelley Hack. She played Julie Rogers in the detective series along with Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd from 1980-1981.

Later Roberts starred in "The Beastmaster" and played Bond girl Stacey Sutton in "A View To A Kill" in 1985.

Roberts was also a model for various ads and appeared in several Broadway productions.
