Claudine Barretto calls Jodi Sta. Maria to talk about estranged husband Raymart Santiago

Actress Claudine Barretto was reported to have called Jodi Sta. Maria who was being linked to her estranged husband Raymart Santiago.

“I was very, very close to Jodi. That’s why I really felt so bad na hindi niya sinabi. Ang ginawa ko, kinuha ko ang number niya kay Raymart, ako ang tumawag sa kanya. Nagkausap kami," said Claudine in an article published on PEP.ph.

Though things went well, Claudine admitted she felt bad at first because the two stars had some broken promises.

“Maayos 'yung pag-uusap namin. Until meron akong isang hiniling sa kanila na um-oo sila. Hindi nila… it was for the kids e. Hindi sila… they didn’t live up kung ano 'yung promise nila. 'Yon 'yung medyo hindi okay,” she said to that effect.

Claudine and Raymart have two children - Sabina and Santino.

In any case, Claudine wishes Jodi and Raymart lots of joy.

“In all ano talaga… happiness lang talaga ang ano ko sa kanila. I think everybody deserves to be happy. Kahit hindi kami nagkakasundo ni Raymart. At the end of the day, I want them to be happy. Kasi, at the end of the day, he’s still the father of my children," she pointed out.

"And ang akin lang, huwag lang niyang kalimutan ang mga responsibilidad niya. Kasi, medyo hindi niya nagagawa 'yung dapat niyang gawin e. Hindi siya sumusunod e. 'Yun lang naman ang akin," she reiterated. “Kung anong meron sila sa buhay nila, okay, go."

Claudine related that at first she was actually in "full support and excited" with the idea of having a "blended family."

“Pero just for them honestly, with all sincerity, I want them to be happy. Just don’t forget my children. 'Yun lang naman ‘yon,” she said.

It was in October last year when news about the brewing romance of the two started surfacing.

Then a few months later, Claudine detailed she has good reason to file a complaint against Raymart given how he has allegedly been negligent in sending financial support to their children.
