Viral priest Fr. Ferdinand Santos took to Twitter on Sept. 28 to greet his father with an advanced happy birthday.
But Fr. Ferdinand said he feels "sad and rough" because his parents have refused to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
"Tomorrow, Sept. 29, is my dad's birthday. Because he and mom refuse to get vaccinated, I have to stay away from them. Sad & rough, but it's the only I can protect them.
"Please get vaccinated - for those who love you & those whom you love. Happy birthday dad," wrote Fr. Ferdi, as he accompanied his post with black-and-white photos of his father.
Netizens prayed that the priest would convince his parents to get the vaccine.
"Born on the feast of Archangel Michael! Happy Birthday to your Dad! Now we know where the good looks, good heart, and dedication to serve God came from. HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" a netizen tweeted.
Another netizen commented: "Happy Birthday to your Dad! I hope and pray you can convince your parents. Good night!"

Earlier, in an eight-minute video, the priest revealed he got infected by COVID-19 recently.
Despite the fact that he was fully vaccinated in Miami, Florida in April, still he got infected, he said.
Fr. Santos said he is okay now, as he encouraged the public to wear face masks during the pandemic. "We continue to pray for all infected. Stay safe, stay hopeful!"
