100 more SRPPF inmates get COVID vaccines

One hundred more persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) at the San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm (SRPPF) in Zamboanga City were vaccinated against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) last Aug. 20, the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) said.

In a statement issued late Sunday evening, Aug. 22, BuCor said that there are now 314 PDLs who have been vaccinated at SRPPF.

Aside from the SRPPF, there are 2,888 BuCor inmates who have been vaccinated in its various Correctional Institution for Women (CIW).

Also, 60 PDLs at the Davao Prison and Penal Farm (DPPF) have been vaccinated, it said.

Earlier, BuCor had appealed to local government units (LGUs) to include PDLs in various penal farms in their vaccination programs.
