Seven easy steps to renew your NBI Clearance online

NBI renewal

Last June, the NBI announced its latest service offering to the public, just in time when most people are restrained from going outside their homes, a new solution to renew NBI Clearance through online application.

For only P330, anyone who has applied for NBI Clearance from October 16, 2016, up to the present year, can avail of the online renewal application and get relieved from the hassles of falling in line and commuting to and from the NBI office. An additional P25 will be charged for the use of the e-payment service.

All you need is your old NBI Clearance number to proceed the application for renewal.

Here are the steps to follow:

1. Visit the website

First, an applicant needs to visit https://nbi.gov.ph and proceed to Online Renewal page. From there the applicant applies for NBI Clearance with online delivery.

2. Fill-out forms

Next, the applicant must fill-out the items needed to complete the NBI Clearance Online Renewal application found at https://clearance.nbi.gov.ph/.

3. Payment

Third, the applicant pays the NBI Clearance Online Renewal fee. The payment section allows the applicant to choose the preferred payment method (Bank: OTC, online banking, mobile e-wallet, Bayad Center, MultiPay, and ECPay)

4. Select delivery options

Next, the applicant proceeds to the delivery option with information details. Applicants may choose from door-to-door delivery, personal pick-up, and/or through pick-up by courier.

Provided that your application doesn’t have a HIT, expect your new NBI Clearance to be delivered to your address within 3 to 7 working days (for Metro Manila and Luzon residents) or 7 to 10 working days (for Visayas and Mindanao residents).

Personal pick-up allows the applicant to easily pick-up their clearance on a scheduled date at the NBI office.

For pick-up by courier (Lalamove or Grab), an additional service fee will be charged to the applicant based on the courier’s service fee charge.

5. Pay for delivery service fee

Applicant pays for the delivery service fee.

6. Wait for SMS confirmation

The applicant will then receive an SMS notification for confirmation and reference number.

7. Wait for the release date (for personal pick-up); expect package to be delivered on the address provided

Last but not the least, the applicant will just have to wait for the release of the NBI Clearance to be picked up (if personal pick-up) and/or wait for the schedule of delivery within 3 to 7 days for Metro Manila residents and 7 to 10 business days in Visayas and Mindanao.

Applicants who opted for the door-to-door delivery can check the status of their NBI Clearance through the following options:

Call the NBI Clearance Hotline at 8523-8231 local 5509. Send a text message and type your Reference NumberNBI (e.g., MNSBNJH NBI) to 09150656899 (Globe) or 09478648747 (SMART).
