Vice President Leni Robredo held talks with Senator Ralph Recto during the latter's visit at her office in Quezon City Thursday, August 5.
The Senate President Pro Tempore shared a social media post about his meeting with Robredo and, being a gentlemen that he is, gave her a compliment.
"Great lady," Recto, now on his final term as senator, captioned a photo with the vice president posted on Facebook. The two officials appeared smiling behind their face masks. Neither of the two gave details about the meeting.
Robredo simply wrote on Facebook: "Thank you for the visit, Senate President Pro Tempore Ralph Recto.
The meeting with the vice president came days after Recto disclosed the possibility of swapping elective posts with his wife Batangas 6th District Rep. Vilma Santos Recto in next year's elections.
Recto said his wife might run for senator while he might take her place in the House of Representatives. A decision is expected to be finalized before the filing of certificate fo candidacies on October.
Recto and his wife are members of the Nacionalista Party, led by former Senate President Manny Villar.
Robredo, the leader of the opposition, is still undecided about a presidential run in next year's elections.
