A total of 629 officials and employees of the Department of Justice (DOJ) main office in Manila has been vaccinated against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as of Aug. 4.
DOJ Undersecretary Emmeline Aglipay-Villar said that 445 personnel had received two doses, while 184 others got their first dose.
Villar expressed relief that there has been no active COVID-19 cases at the DOJ main office as of Aug. 4.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic struck the country last year, 80 DOJ personnel had been infected. Two of them died, Villar said.
The undersecretary said that as of June 30, 2021, there has been a total of 212 persons who got vaccinated among the officials and personnel of the DOJ’s regional prosecution offices in Cebu where the number of COVID-19 cases have spiked up.
Fully vaccinated in Cebu were 119 personnel, while 93 others got their first dose, she said.
A total of 69 Cebu personnel has been infected with COVID-19 since last year, she added.
