2 Pisay wizards bag silver medals at 53rd Int’l Chemistry Olympiad


Two students of the Philippine Science High School (PSHS) have bagged silver medals at the 53rd International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) virtually held on July 25 to Aug. 2 in Japan.

The PSHS System congratulated Ron Angelo A. Gelacio of the PSHS-Main Campus and Nathan Wayne F. Ariston of the PSHS-Central Mindanao Campus for winning silver medals at the competition virtually hosted by Japan.

“Kudos to our chemistry wizards! The Philippine Science High School System congratulates Ron Angelo A. Gelacio of the PSHS-Main Campus and Nathan Wayne F. Ariston of the PSHS-Central Mindanao Campus for winning silver medals in the 53rd International Chemistry Olympiad held from July 25 to August 2, 2021,” it wrote on Facebook.

Ariston and Gelacio both bagged bronze medals in 52nd IChO held in Istanbul, Turkey in 2020.

The PSHS also took the opportunity to thank Kristoff John F. Padilla of PSHS-Central Mindanao Campus, one of the country’s official delegates to the IChO “for doing your best to represent the country.”
