Several areas in Metro Manila were inundated Wednesday (July 21) in floodwaters due to heavy rains brought about by the southwest monsoon enhanced by Typhoon “Fabian.”
The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) reported flooding in the following areas:

- C5 Ortigas (Southbound) - gutter deep
As of 8:35 a.m.:

- Edsa Ortigas split (Northbound) - gutter deep
- Edsa J. Vargas (Northbound) - gutter deep
As of 8:40 am:

Motorists were advised to plan their drive ahead due to flooding.
At 9:14 a.m. July 21, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) placed Metro Manila under the orange rainfall warning.
Areas under the orange rainfall warning are expected to experience intense rainfall of 15 mm and 30 mm within one hour and flooding.
