Small business owners around the world quickly pivoted online to help survive the economic effects of the global pandemic. According to GoDaddy’s 2020 Global Entrepreneurship Survey, 1 out of 3 Pinoy businesses were started due to the impacts of the pandemic, with 60% of those surveyed acknowledging how technology is essential to ensuring that their ventures can weather a crisis.

According to the same study, 43% of Pinoy small business owners said they are keen to create a website for their business. This was a need that Pearl De Guzman, founder of Staffz, an outsourcing services company, and winner of GoDaddy and AXN’s reality show, Project GO, can certainly relate with. De Guzman shared that one of her biggest struggles was building the credibility of her business and making it look, sound, and feel professional—a challenge that she believed having a website would help solve.

Based on De Guzman’s experience, having accessible products and services and readily available customer support is crucial for any online business, to help ensure operational continuity and smooth transactions with their customers.

GoDaddy’s award-winning Guides are readily available to answer questions and help small business owners achieve their online goals.

As Staffz recently updated their website from design to content, De Guzman found herself relying on articles and resources from GoDaddy's blog page. “While we are continuously polishing our website, we think those resources really helped us make our website well-structured and organized,” added De Guzman.

In addition to its integrated suite of online products and services, GoDaddy has been providing resources to everyday entrepreneurs to help set them up for success with advice and tips on its blog page. In the coming months, GoDaddy will also be launching webinars, tutorials, and key how-to videos to help small business owners effectively build own their digital presence including a website and E-Store.

With the global pandemic fast-tracking digital adoption, there has been a growing need for small business owners to set up a digital storefront and cater to their customers’ online purchases. In response to this, GoDaddy officially launched its E-store product in April of this year which allows entrepreneurs and small business owners to create and manage a virtual store quickly and affordably with no coding experience required.
