Woman arrested, nine females rescued from ‘sex trafficking operations’ in Rizal

National Bureau of Investigation

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has arrested a woman for allegedly engaging in prostitution operations in Taytay, Rizal.

In a statement, the NBI identified the suspect as Angelica F. Ollague who was arrested last July 7 in an entrapment operation conducted by the NBI’s Rizal District Office (NBI-RIZDO).

During the operation, the NBI said nine females, five of them minors, were rescued.

NBI Officer-in-Charge Director Eric B. Distor said Ollague, also known as “Geca,” was charged before the Rizal Provincial Prosecutor’s Office with violations of Republic Act No. 9208, the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003 and RA 7610, the Special Protection Against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.

The NBI said the entrapment operation was conducted based on “information that alleged human trafficking activities are taking place in the nearby towns of Rizal.”

“Acting swiftly on the information, NBI-RIZDO conducted surveillance operation wherein the information was positively confirmed. The pimp, identified as ‘Geca’, is maintaining, harboring, offering, and delivering girls, who appear to be minors, for sexual intercourse and other sexual favors,” it said.
