The "Eagle Alpha" is standing by the bee. Jollibee, that is.
Not one to leave a pal in the doldrums, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) traffic czar Edison Bong Nebrija took to his Facebook Wednesday, June 9, to give a pep talk to the embattled Filipino fast food chain.
"We you Jollibee! Continue to bring pride to our country here and abroad! Mabuhay! Thumbs up from all of us here at Team Edsa!" he wrote.
To go with the upload, Nebrija shared a photo of him and a statue of Jollibee outside the branch that he visited.
There is also a selfie of him and a bunch of his traffic enforcers inside the branch, which was probably taken while they were waiting for their food.
It was only last week when a "fried towel" was given to a customer who ordered fried chicken from Jollibee's Bonifacio-Stop Over branch in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. The story blew up on social media.
Jollibee responded to the incident by shutting down the branch and launching an investigation.
Other personalities in government have also aired their support to the fast giant amid the public relations nightmare.
