5th millionaire! Bettor from Makati City wins P16.7-M Lotto 6/42 jackpot prize

A bettor from Makati City in Metro Manila bagged the P16.7-million Lotto 6/42 jackpot, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Friday, May 28, announced.

In a Facebook post, PCSO that the winning ticket guessed the jackpot combination for the Lotto 6/42 which was drawn on Thursday night, May 27.

With winning combination 05-39-31-11-21-25, PCSO said that the lone bettor won a total of P16, 766, 666.80.

Aside from the jackpot prize winner, the winners summary from PCSO also showed that there were 24 second prize winners who will receive 24,000 each.

The PCSO is conducting Lotto 6/42 draws three times a week - every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

This announcement came a day after a bettor from Davao City in Davao del Sur won the P181.6-million jackpot prize for the Megalotto 6/45 drawn on May 26.

Including the latest winner, there are already a total of five major winners for the month of May alone.

During the draw on May 15, PCSO said that a ticket bought in Abucay, Bataan won the P29.7-million Grand Lotto 6/55 jackpot with the winning combination 13-01-50-10-51-54.

PCSO added that during the May 8 draw, a bettor from Iriga City, Camarines Sur along with a bettor from Davao City, Davao del Sur also bagged the P101.3-million jackpot prize for the Lotto 6/42 with 15-36-03-24-06-08 as the winning combination.

Meanwhile, PCSO reminded the public that prizes that are above P10,000.00 will be subject to 20 percent tax pursuant to TRAIN Law.

Likewise, PCSO said that the prizes that were not claimed by within one year from date of draw will also be “considered forfeited” based on the Republic Act No. 1169 also known as PCSO Charter.

Winners are reminded to go to PCSO’s main office in Mandaluyong City. They need to present the winning ticket along with two identification cards when claiming their prizes.
