The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) has named Corrections Technical Senior Inspector Francisco G. Salvador as acting chief of the Leyte Regional Prison (LRP).

In a statement, LRP said that BuCor also designated Corrections Senior Inspector Herold King A. Pablo as deputy superintendent for security and operations, and Tracy Soriano as deputy superintendent for administration.

It said the designation of Soriano, who was installed to his post last May 10, was done following the passing of LRP Chief Corrections Senior Superintendent Danilo C. Dador last May 6.

“The Acting Superintendent expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the warm welcome of LRP and asked everyone to be united with the goal of our BuCor Director General Gerald Q. Bantag in making the bureau become excellent in rendering exemplary government service,” it said.

Bantag had mourned the passing of Dador whom he described as “a dedicated Officer who remained in loyal obedience to his oath of duty for his nation even to the end.”

Dador has been head of the LRP since 2018 and, prior that, he was chief of the San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm in Zamboanga City.

Located in Abuyog, Southern Leyte, the LRP was set up in 1972 with a capacity of 500 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs).
