Robert Fripp, Toyah cover Britney Spears' 'Toxic'

It’s all in good fun for King Crimson’s Robert Fripp and singer-actress Toyah Willcox.

The King Crimson lead guitarist and his wife-actress, writer, musician Toyah covered Britney Spears’ “Toxic” and posted it on their YouTube channel. 

The still edgy-looking Toyah, a UK pop punk rock hit maker in the 80’s, was dressed in a see-through top that showed her ample bosom.

Only black tape prevented the singer from being reported as violating community guidelines.

The progressive rock guitarist meanwhile looked dapper in a button long-sleeved shirt and vest and looked way too serious as he played the all-too recognizable synth-riff on his guitar.

Toyah meanwhile strutted with a police baton in hand and sang almost theatrically in what looked to be the couples’ kitchen.

All this while a prominent #FreeBritney text was edited on the video.

A stanza and some choruses later, the couple held up hand-made signs that read “Britney We (heart symbol) love you.”

Fripp and Toyah are supporting the singer in her conservatorship legal battle.

A blooper reel afterwards showed ‘serious’ Robert cracking and unable to contain his laughter at the apparent silliness that she and her wife have been doing to while away the time.

Fripp (74) and Toyah (62) have been posting performances, covers and skits on their Toyah & Robert’s Sunday Lunch YouTube channel since the quarantine started a year ago.

They’ve covered Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” (with braless Toyah on a stationary bike), Billy Idol’s “Rebel Yell,”  and Led Zep’s “Black Dog.”

Who ever said seniors can’t hack Youtube haven’t seen Toyah and Robert’s ‘Sunday Lunch.’
