The Archdiocese of San Fernando, in a statement issued Saturday, March 6, confirmed this.

Lavarias was already discharged from the hospital in the City of San Fernando also on Saturday, seven days after he got infected with the coronavirus.

“I am now doing home quarantine. I thank all those who took care of me, the doctors and hospital personnel,” said Lavarias.

The prelate also expressed his gratitude to family, priests, bishops, seminarians, friends, and lay leaders who offered prayers for his quick recovery.

“May God share with you all the graces and blessings that He continues to shower upon me at this very moment,” said Lavarias.

Lavarias will "continue his mandatory quarantine at this residence. His recovery is in time for his 64th birthday on March 14," the Archdiocese of San Fernando said.
