First Lady caps Women's Month with cocktail for female diplomatic community members

First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos hosted a cocktail reception to honor women ambassadors and the wives of heads of diplomatic missions in the Philippines, capping the celebration of Women's Month on Thursday, March 27.

The event gathered female members of the diplomatic community in an evening of camaraderie in Malacañan, recognizing their roles as leaders and representatives of their nations.

In her speech, the First Lady emphasized the significance of the gathering, describing it as a tribute to "the grace and the strength of women who lead us not only in wisdom but with purpose."

Addressing the guests, Marcos acknowledged their presence as a powerful statement of female leadership and influence in the international community.

"Excellencies, your presence here is more than symbolic; it's powerful," she said.

"You carry not only the voices of your nations but also the aspirations of countless women who see in you a reflection of what is possible," she added.

The First Lady closed the reception by expressing hope for the boundless impact of women leaders worldwide.

"To women who lead, to women who lift, and to women who continue to pave the way, may your influence know no boundaries. Cheers!" she said.

In a separate Instagram post, Marcos reiterated the essence of the event, emphasizing the unity and empowerment among women in leadership.

"In celebration of Women's Month, we gathered in sisterhood and solidarity— honoring the grace and strength of women who lead not only with wisdom but also with purpose," she wrote.
