The Juans notch Billboard milestone

2021 looks bright for pop rock act The Juans.

The group marked a career milestone making it to the US Billboard charts Monday.

On its Twitter account, P-pop Billboard (@ppopbillboard) announced:

“@TheJuans band debuts at No. 9 on this week’s #NextBigSound chart.”

The Next Big Sound chart on Billboard tracks popular bands and artists on social media and streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music and the like and gives focus on remarkable acts on regions other than the US.

The Juans, which includes singers Carl Guevara, Japs Mendoza on keyboard and lead guitar, Chael Adriano on Bass, acoustic guitarist RJ Cruz and drummer Joshua Coronel, is only the third Filipino act to have made it on said chart.

Only two more Pinoy pop acts have made it to the Next Big Sound music listings previously: SB10 in 2019 and Morrisette in 2020.

Of their latest accomplishment, Juan Carl posted:

“2021 Grabe ka na! Sa lahat ng gumagawa ng effort to put our band name out there, you guys make all our hard work worth it. Salamat!”

The Juans have been steadily rising in their streaming numbers.

Spotify Artists had their numbers pegged at 1.08 million listens last month.

The group has been consistently releasing quality singles, the most recent one being “Pangalawang Bitaw.”
