Are you a Mamba fan and into custom Vespas? This one might be for you. A Kobe Bryant tribute Vespa Primavera 50 is going up for auction in Germany. Unlike the Vespa Primavera Sean Wotherspoon edition, this one is much more limited: just one example.

The custom scooter was commissioned by German sneaker and streetwear retailer, Kickz, as a tribute to the late but great Kobe Bryant. Bryant tragically lost his life, along with his daughter and seven others in a helicopter crash in California earlier this year.

 Just like Bryant who passionately supported young talent, the proceeds of this Mamba Edition auction will go towards a similar cause. It is being auctioned to raise funds to support the all-female Basketball Center of Opladen (BCO), Germany.

For this acution, Kickz teamed up LA Sparks center, Marie Gülich, of the Women’s NBA. Gülich had trained at the Basketball Center of Opladen as a teenager prior to her professional career in the WNBA. As such, 100 percent of the proceeds will go toward supporting young girls achieving their basketball dreams.

The black, 50cc Vespa Primavera has been customized with purple and gold stripes, inspired by the LA Lakers team colors. The saddle is made of imitation snakeskin, as a tribute to the Black Mamba. It features the number 8 and 24 on its sides. Highlights of Bryant’s career have been immortalized in decals on the front shield. Even the Vespa badge has been replaced with "Mamba."

Perhaps the best touch is Bryant’s famous quote as told by Shaquille O’Neal, “There’s no ‘I’ in ‘Team’ but there’s ‘M-E’ in that Mofo” featured on the floorboard.

Those interested should check out the auction that runs until August 31, 2020 on eBay Germany. It won’t come cheap. As of this writing, the highest bid is already 6,250 Euros (P360,000).

You don’t have to be a German national to bid. The page only warns that if the winning bidder is from outside of Germany, he or she must be prepared to shoulder the shipping cost outside the country in full.
