Feel like a star aboard the mobile salon

I can’t remember the first time I had my hair colored (sanggol palang ata ako, blondina nako!) I think have tried all colors---and I mean all! I even had rainbow highlights for a couple of months. (Dinaig ang LGBTQ at ang mga unicorn!)

This is the reason I felt bad when the salon got affected by the pandemic.  I know how the people from that industry love their jobs and how passionate they are in making people beautiful (kaya ako nagmamaganda!). I’m glad they are coming back slowly and following necessary health protocols. 

Recently, Fred Penales of Hairshaft salon acquired a luxury van and coverted it into a mobile salon! Imagine, for those who cannot visit their branches, the salon will arrive at your doorstep! (Lakas maka-donya!)

“This is one of our answers to the new normal,” he said. (At si Fred pa minsan ang nagmamaneho, ha!)

Celebrities and clients can avail their signature services. When I rushed to their branch at Vertis North for my much needed hair cut, I was amazed by the health protocols they follow. (Parang nasa ibang dimension ako dahil nga sa mga paandar na health protocols!)

“Anything you want from a hair salon, we have. Haircut, hair color, hair treatments, hair extensions, hair and make up…we want to bring our signature services to the safest place,” Fred said (kaya walang dahilan para maging chaka ang hair ngayong lockdown!).

“Alam mo naman, lalo na sa panahon ngayon, bawal ang pangit na hair. Kailangan kahit may quarantine, bongga pa rin ang hair.” (Wala dapat makakapigil!)

The mobile salon can also be rented for special occasions.  (Pwede ko pala magamit ito pag may shooting ako! Shooting?!)

Lucy Britanico and Fred have made me part of their family. They assigned Carl Dana to be my stylist (actually, lahat sila naging stylist ko na sa tagal ko na sa kanila!). It feels good to be associated with their other celebrity ambassadors as Jessa Zaragoza, Dingdong Avanzado, Jayda Avanzado, Angel Aquino, Sylvia Sanchez, Carmina Villaroel, Regine Tolentino, Sheryln Reyes and many more! (Balita ko si Madonna rin daw interesado! Chos!)

Fred has this to say to other stylists and salon owners: “Keep it up! We can do this! Keep safe and let’s embrace the new normal.”  (Parang ikaw ang gusto ko i-embrace, bro!)
