WATCH: NBA G League teases fans with glimpse of Kai Sotto

Kai Sotto has been making rounds all over the internet and social media following his recent showing in the NBA G League scrimmages.

Training under coach Brian Shaw in Team Ignite, a squad full of elite NBA prospects, Sotto showed his evolved game with flashy passes and dribbling skills, and defensive prowess.

Though still finding the offensive touches, Shaw lauded Sotto and believed that he's constantly improving.

But the NBA G League is not yet done hyping its young talents.

On Wednesday, the NBA G League posted a 15-second teaser on social media featuring the Filipino basketball wunderkind.

"My goal is to be the best player that I can be. I'm trying my best to get drafted next year," said Sotto. "When I make it to the NBA, hopefully, I'll make everybody proud."

Kai, the son of former PBA player Ervin Sotto, took his talent to the US after an impressive stint in the UAAP juniors division with the Ateneo Blue Eaglets and eventually suited up for Team Ignite.

The 7-foot-2 Sotto is joined by Filipino-American Jalen Green, Congolese Jonathan Kuminga, and Americans Daishen Nix and Isaiah Todd in Team Ignite.

Sotto recently announced his recommitment to Gilas Pilipinas, marking his debut participation in the men's national basketball team since his Gilas Youth days.

He also opened an apparel brand called "Kaiju" while his sports academy "Kaiju Academy" is set to launch at the Spooky Nook Sports Champion Mill Complex, the largest indoor sports complex in North America late next year.
