“The NBI is still investigating. But this will be solved very soon,” the secretary assured reporters.

Guevarra earlier revealed that the NBI already identified persons of interest in the case.

“The NBI is focusing on four persons of interest,” he said Monday night, Dec. 21.

“One of them is willing to divulge what he knows,” the secretary disclosed.
The NBI also confirmed on Monday that the body recovered in Capas, Tarlac on Oct. 30 was Pizarro, who is believed to have been brutally killed.

“The NBI forensic chemistry division report showed a 99.99999 percent DNA match,” Guevarra had said.

Pizarro’s family had sought the help of the NBI since he went missing on Oct. 23.

Citing reports from the NBI, Justice Undersecretary Adrian Sugay said the magistrate was “last seen at a casino in Clark last Oct. 23.”

“His car, an early model Honda Accord, was later on discovered somewhere in San Simon, Pampanga,” said the undersecretary in charge of the NBI.

“He last spoke with one of his sons on Oct. 23 at around 11:30 a.m. to 12 noon,” he added.
