Alexa Ilacad confident she can carry a Bea Alonzo

Stepping into the shoes of the great Bea Alonzo installs fear in the totality of young actress Alexa Ilacad.

Yet, she says she channeled that fear into an opportunity gained.

‘’Not every actress gets a chance to play a character originated by Miss Bea,’’ Alexa told an online mediacon for the movie, ‘Four Sisters Before The Wedding.’

She recounted what she told the staff when assigned the big role: “Kakayanin ko!”

The former child star has acted in several movies, including ‘Everything About Her’ in 2016. She has also essayed remarkable characters in teleseryes like ‘The Good Son’ and ‘The Killer Bride.’

Directed by Mae Cruz Alviar, Four Sisters is a prequel to the 2013 hit movie, ‘Four Sisters and A Wedding,’ directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.

The movie gathered for the first time A-Listers Bea, Toni Gonzaga, Angel Locsin, and Shaina Magdayao.

The four Salazar sisters are now being played by promising young stars Alexa Ilacad, Charlie Dizon , Gillian Vicencio, and Belle Mariano.

The film captures them 10 years before the wedding of the family’s unico hijo, played in the original by Enchong Dee.

Three of the four sisters are in college while the youngest, Gabbie, is in high-school. Their youngest sibling CJ (played by Clarence Delgado) is in elementary.

The family’s blissful innocence is blurred when they discover that their parents (Carmina Villarroel and Dominic Ochoa) are on the verge of separation.

The other cast members of ‘Four Sisters Before The Wedding’ are Irma Adlawan, Kakai Bautista, Cai Cortez, Jameson Blake, Joao Constancia, Pinky Amador, Minnie Aguilar, Boom Labrusca, Jenny Miller, Jeremiah Lisbo and Gigi de Lana.

The romantic comedy, by Star Cinema, streams worldwide beginning December 11 via KTX.ph (ktx.ph), iWantTFC (iwanttfc.com), TFC IPTV, Cignal PPV (my.cignal.tv), and Sky Cable pay-per-view (mysky.com.ph).
